He is well behaved while out for his walks, picks his canine friends carefully but loves people and car rides. David is just a sweetheart wanting someone to show him that life can be filled with love. A patient hand will be needed with him as he is timid at first meeting then starts to warm up. Looks to be perhaps Flat Coated Ret mix with ? This fella is great with other dogs, cats don't bother him at all and housebroken. But he is in need of someone that can show him what HUMAN love is. He was taken out of a hoarder situation and tends to want to be a loner. But when brought into a loving environment you can tell he wants to know what LOVE really is. So if you have the "TOUCH" then David is for you.He loves to go for walks and rides. David is thriving in his foster home, by having another dog with him to show him that life is good, so therefor any potential adopters must have another dog. Also consistency is working tremendously.

A couple stops at a foreclosure home to check on things and finds something the former family left behind in a kennel, their DOG. No food in the pen, the only water was that caused by rain.While we sympathize with people in this horrid economy we don't understand how they can leave the dog alone to fend for himself withoutFOOD and FRESH WATER...... DUKE for sure had "ANGELS" looking after him. A trip to the Vet for shots, check up and yes of course he is HEARTWORM positive, but has already started his treatment. Approximately 2-3 yrs old, fine with other dogs, still trying to get him to slow down his eating but who knows when the last time was that he had regular meals. This guy is located in Kentucky.
