FEMALE DOGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Foster Program:
Cannot adopt or make that permanent decision? Join our labrador foster care program and you can earn
some cash. The dogs need you and it is a fun summer project. Dogs usually get adopted in 2-3 weeks, and you can always rotate. The economy has left millions of animals in Animal Control Facilities due to be destroyed. The City of Chicago is striving to make our city no kill! Many big dogs such as labradors have a better chance at getting that right home in the suburbs! We help them! BE ALIVE!  we provide the medical and food and toys! This program has been developed to help you and a special Canine friend! e-mail us at info@fortunatelabrescue.org or call 773 318 2239

Stevie So sweet, she's got a nice, calm and friendly temperament and enjoys being close to you. Very lovable dog.

FOSTER CARE

New arrival Nana was saved by FPALR the day before she was scheduled to be euthanized. If you want someone who will love you unconditionally this is the gal for you. As you can see from her pictures she recently had a litter and apparently the owners no longer wanted her as they had new ones to take her place. She was the sweetheart of he HIGH KILL SHELTER that she was rescued from and we can see why, just a great temperment and personality, She appears to be Hound Mix
Abby 2 is a new arrival who wants to play with everyone and every dog she meets. She is under the impression that she is part Lab so there for she does spend a lot ot time in the doggie pool. So we don't mention the word Collie Mix in front of her

foster care

Venus is one of the staff's favorite dogs and we can't wait to see her go into a great home. She's the total package... stunning, sleek, strong and smart. And she's very playful too, chasing tennis balls or running around with her poochie pals. A yard and a male canine companion would be the perfect match for her, along with someone ready to shower her with love when she's done playing

Sadie is a new arrival. If you like fluffy she will be the one for you. Seems to be a Collie Husky mix type gal about  1-2 years old who would like a foster home to help her thru heartworm recovery. Yes this new arrival tested positive for heartworm and has received her treatment but would benefit from somewhere til she finds her forever home. Please contact info@fortunatelabrescue.org if you would like to foster or better yet make her your very own forever
Abby is really a character. She looks tough but is really just a pile of mush. She does need to be an only dog as she wants all the attention for herself. About 2 years old and very pretty
Penny is just a happy go lucky gal with everyone. Want her to play ? she'll play, go for a walk? shes ready and willing. Have another dog ? even better

Lillian arrived at FPALR as a severely abused Lab gal whose collar was embedded within her neck, full of irratation from being flea infested. Today we are thrilled to say she is so over her years of abuse and loving the world. Making up for lost time this gal is so excited to know what love is and the great volunteers make sure she knows how great life can be

Beachi's days of being Mom to her 5 babies are over with and she is now ready to find her forever home. On the medium size, beagle mix who has an awesome personality and temperment, gets along with her way bigger foster brothers with no problems.

Matilda flat-coated retriever with a shy-at-first demeanor, but is very easy-going, lovable and huggable.  She LOVES playing outside with the garden hose, trying to "catch" the water... too cute!
Lily Her favorite place would be in your lap... so if you want a sweet lovable companion dog, around 20 pounds or so, this one's for you!

New Arrival Colleen was able to be saved because several of our dogs were adopted by great families making room for FPALR to take safe another one. She seems to be a Shepherd Collie mix with beautiful Black and Red coloring.. Check out this beauty soon she will be a keeper for sure. More information to come as we get to know her.

ADOPTION PENDING

Meadow is sweet with cute "freckles"! She has super soft fur too, and likes to sit close to you for petting. She knows how to sit, give paw and stay... even though she likes to creep toward you just to be closer.

Happy Hope
Do you have cats? other dogs? then you sure do need me, Hope, as I love them all. Mom was a collie mix so looks like Dad might of been Shepherd, a year old on the 25th of June.  Housebroken and great in a crate too what more could you ask for.I have helped with weed whacking the lawn and the noise doesn't bother me. Unfortunately I wasn't socialized much in my first home so therefore I can be a bit shy with new people at first but I was in my foster home for only an hour and I just showered my foster Mom with lots of kisses Current with all vaccinations, spayed and has attended puppy classes. I know sit, down, love to give paw especially if cheese is involved, working on heel. Great with kids too..

I AM SO HAPPY, I HAVE A GREAT NEW MOM AND A NEW HOME
Best foster siblings Johnnie Melvin and me Hope
Callie: a chihuahua-dachsund mix with unique tan and white coloring.  She weighs about 12 pounds, likes attention and playing with the other dogs regardless of their size.

FOSTER HOME

Bailey is a boxer mix who would love to have someone to take her jogging with them. She has been exposed to cats without any issues in her past home. About 2-3 years young
